Training programs for building fundamental knowledge and competence
In 2019, the Vocational Training Center TRAKIYA was established, which is part of the plan for the integrated development of Trakiya Economic Zone. It was created with the financial support of Operational Programme "Innovation and Competitiveness" 2014-2020. The aim of the Center is to meet the needs of the industrial enterprises in TEZ for additional qualification and retraining of workers and newly hired persons.
Focus: machine and automatic line operators, adjusters, maintenance technicians, etc.
See moreFocus: maintenance engineers, engineers from industrial departments, engineers from development units.
See moreThe training at the Center is based on one of the leading postmodern philosophies for progressive education. The main focus is on the practical knowledge and skills acquired by the trainees upon completion of the course.
As a value-functional profile, the Training Center responds to the model of supporting interaction on the labor market and partly as a support for formal education. The first function is determined by the main activity in the Centre, namely the training of those already working through the following functions: vocational training, current qualification, retraining training, etc. The second function – the support of formal education is rather a complementary function aimed at maintaining students' interest in vocational education as well as acquiring additional knowledge and skills among future specialists.
Training at the Centre could also be defined as experience-based learning. This classification is supported essentially by the fact that adult learning is linked to the everyday life of the learner (i.e. the workplace) and his need for additional knowledge to perform his duties. Very often, courses on assignment from enterprises are also held on site, without detachment from production.
